It also prevents bubbles in the layers underneath, makes the color last longer, and dries quickly. The lower layers still take a while to dry completely, but with a dry surface on top I can go about my business instead of trying not to touch anything. At first it's kind of like having a plastic cover over a swimming pool. You can rub the surface without causing any problems, but if you poke it with something it will make a dent. And dents can often be rubbed out. How this is different than Seche Vite: it doesn't shrink while drying, and the neck of the bottle doesn't get gummed up with dry product. Also, it seems to be just a tiny bit tougher. My nail color lasts 10-20 days before chipping noticably. How to apply:... I decided to try something else only after getting tired of how thick Seche Vite gets after you get down to half a bottle. This product dries equally as fast as and I haven't had a problem with the bottle thickening. I put this on my left hand and by the time I finish with my right hand, it is shiny and DRY!
